Augsburg 1942 – 1963
I was born in the middle of the war, on the 20th April 1942, on the day of the Führer’s birthday. Thus I was given the title “Sohn des Führers” and a saving account with 50 Reichsmark on it, to be cashed in when reaching my 18th birthday. The “Reich” which was planned for thousand years lasted only 3 more and instead of moneys on my saving account I inherited the rubble of my home town and the consequences of my eery closeness to the Führer.
I left Augsburg after my Abitur in 1963 and moved to Munich to study Philosophy and German Literature.
