Black & White
One has to learn to see and think in colours. The same applies to black & white. Just one interesting and important detail: When shooting in black & white, one can totally forget about disturbing or “wrong” colours in the scene one is aiming at.
Digital photography can help enormously to learn about black & white versus colour. It takes not more than an hour to experiment with unlimited shots and looking at them in Lightroom or any other program. Working with actual black & white film is incomparably more tedious and very costly.
It is worth every minute to just work with shots in lightroom and convert them from colour to black & white or vice versa, If one has a Leica Monochrome camera one is even more fortunate because no conversion is necessary.
