Plugins or no Plugins, that is the question
Plugins can be very helpful and plugins can and are the source of many problems with wordpress websites. Plugins need to be monitored and updated all the time, following the updates of WordPress and the Operating Systems of your computer.
My point here is the following: If you can arrange from inside the basics of WordPress and from the Theme you are using, what you need, do not resort to a plugin. For example, Divi from ElegantThemes is surprisingly powerful and flexible. Before looking for a plugin, find out what options Divi has to offer.
The less one has to rely on plugins the less one has to face up to negative interferences from them. Which does not mean, that plugins cannot be very helpful and necessary.
